We are looking to add an organized, inquisitive and driven Accounting Manager to our Internal Finance team. The Accounting Manager will report to the Corporate Controller. Primarily responsible for assisting with the financial close, reconciliations, preparation, and review of financial statements for the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review monthly financial statements and associated workpapers for specific Chatham entities
Review and approve month end journal entries
Promote and recommend process improvements
Review required month end accruals and other accounting estimates
Assist Controller in Quarterly Close and Financial Statement preparation including footnotes and related schedules
Assist with various year-end accounting activities
Perform a detailed review and monthly reconciliation of all general ledger accounts
Prepare/review the global consolidation and related journal entries
Perform financial closing activities in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with corporate policies
Review and approve assigned expense reports
Assist with special projects as assigned, including but not limited to new accounting standards implementations, technical accounting research, technology upgrades and ad-hoc reporting requests
Six plus years of experience in Accounting/Finance with demonstrated growth; supervisory experience
Proficiency in General Ledger accounting with a strong knowledge of reconciliations, month-end/year-end close
Previous public accounting experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
Microsoft Dynamics preferred, but not required
Previous experience mentoring/growing staff
Experience with International Accounting
Detail oriented, organized, ability to multi-task
Good communication skills
Continuous process improvement mindset
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Highly motivated, self-starter
Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions
