We have a great opportunity for a Tax Accountant II based out Bryn Mawr, PA. This role compiles and analyzes data for the preparation of estimated tax payments and pro forma tax returns. The Tax Accountant II assists in completion and filing of the company’s various local, state and federal state tax returns including income taxes, capital stock taxes, Public Utility Realty Taxes.
Assists in the completion and filing of the Federal and State income tax returns, the Pennsylvania Capital Stock tax return, the Pennsylvania Public Utility tax return, and other returns necessary. Coordinates the filing and preparation of these returns directly with outside auditors.
Work with CPR team to determine impacts of CIAC/CAC and tangible property regulations on provision and compliance filings
Calculates required amount for all periodic tax deposits. Assures payment amounts are sufficient to avoid penalties and comply with all filing deadlines and adequately consider the financial position and operations of the company.
Identifies tax issues or areas of concern that may warrant follow-up or review by the Tax Director and assists in the resolution of the issue.
Maintains company-wide tax reporting calendar to ensure tax deadlines are met. Maintains tax files in an organized manner to ensure access to key supporting documentation when required for tax audits or other needs.
Assists in the review of operating units reporting packages
Performs other assignments as required.
Bachelors degree is required. Master's of Science in Taxation or CPA preferred.
3 years of related experience in industry; 1-2 years at Big 4 considered.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and proficient in OneSource Income Tax Compliance or similar compliance software.
Experience analyzing, reporting and summarizing data.
Proficient in interpreting and analyzing tax laws.
