Manages various accounting functions including ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue and asset accounting, payroll and various tax returns. Evaluates and makes improvements to accounting processes while ensuring that practices comply with NCIGF accounting policies and applicable laws and regulations. Leads and directs support staff, including subordinate supervisors. Reports to Executive Director and Liquidators.
Prepares periodic financial statements required for external reporting. Collects and analyzes financial data, ensuring that all reporting is in compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Consolidates entries and accounts to be utilized in financial statements. Prepares internal reports as required. Researches accounting rules and regulations and makes recommendations regarding company policy. May provide support and assistance to external auditors. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent.
Requires a bachelor's degree and CPA certification. Typically requires 5+ years of related experience. Knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance, Microsoft Dynamics GP 2106 Software and Microsoft Excel
